It's because it's a fast Ford. Think most of us grew up in the Fast Ford generation. We've either owned one, lusted after one, or our dads had one.

That's the thing, Fords RS brand is so strong that whenever it brings out an RS car, most car forums are busy talking about it.

Shame Ford don't know just how strong the RS brand is, otherwise it would have given us what everyone wants. A 4WD Focus RS.

They should have done the Fiesta RS too, but they said there was no market for a Small hatch with 200+bhp. Step forward Clio 197, Mini Cooper works, Coras VXR. Ford would have sold plenty.

Isn't it the same with anything though, when the next GTA game comes out the computer forum will be full, etc etc.

Circles of life and all that.

I like them a lot but the constant talk of them is putting me off them rapidly.

I do want a mk1 Escort Mexico though.

SOOOOOO cool!

I've still got a burning desire for an Escort RS Cosworth.

Cheers,

My ST170 came with 2 budget tyres on the front so I couldn't really drive it properly. I've just had a full set of Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics fitted, and it's without a doubt the best handling FWD car I've ever driven.

It's not quick, but you have so much fun driving it that it doesn't need to be.

Alan - agreed. Best handling FWD car I've driven too.
Better than the new one.
