Default '95 WRX gearbox removal

Will be removing and replacing my gearbox this weekend but need to know if there are any special tools i need? How do the drive shafts seperate from the gearbox?

This will be my first Subaru gearbox so any help would me great.

just need to knock out the roll pins to take driveshafts out.

clutch fork pivot pin out to split box

Nice one mate, could i use a punch or a drift for that? Any idea what diameter they are?

Yeah a punch is fine, think they are 5-6mm.

sorry for the hi jack, im doing this my self.

you say all thats need to take tha shafts out is to knock out the roll pins.
roll pins?

i'll be starting mine from friday onwards

Yes, no need to disturb the front suspension at all, just push the box side to side and they will slide off the stub shafts if you remove the gearbox cradle.

I used an M6 x 70 bolt to knock out my pins (will likely damage threads so don't use one you need), also 95 WRX.
