I'm currently undergoing a front end "50% facelift" i.e. v.3/4 lights, v.5/6 grille and v.3-6 bonnet. Got the lights, got the grille, intend to get bonnet later...

Question: can the early bonnet's intercooler undertray/rubber funnel be transfered across to the facelift bonnet, so that the original, slanty IC will still function correctly/efficiently?

I realise that this question has probably been asked before, so apologies for that.

Surely, many others have done this?!

Hi, no the scoop's the wrong size and in the wrong position.
I've fitted the later bonnet, but also a sti6 tmic, and looking to make a custom undertray to fit.

I'll just have to get the Hybrid FMIC fitted then, so that I can have the later bonnet... with the RCM Gobstopper's reverse scoop!

 

The RCM's a wicked scoop! I've run my bonnet/scoop for 6 months now, without any problems, but would like it sorted by the summer when it warms up.

 

The RCM scoop is the only decent looking reverse-style one IMHO
