Default timing belt!

Thinking of doing a timing belt change in the next month or so as iv now hit 51,000 miles. question is, do i have to do belt only or kit? also, is it a complex or fairly simple job, reason i ask is im thinking of having a crack on my own instead of payimg garage prices.
thanx in advance
steve

You can get the kit for about £200 from traders on ebay-try these

Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0 02 to 06 Cam Timing Belt Kit on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-Jan-09 14:28:51 GMT)

While your on ebay pick up a subaru CD rom workshop manual for about a fiver and get some camshaft oils seals, they do go and you need to take the belt off to replace them. Not expensive at about £20 for a set.
