Default DCCD settings and checker

Collected my Type R today and wanted to perform checks tomorrow on certain things one of which is the DCCD. Short of the lights moving up and down the dash when they should is there anyway to check that its operating fully?

Last question - best setting for this time of year/weather?

On full lock when trying to steer at slow speeds it'll feel rough and grind. You know its working then

Thanks for that, I read through the copy and posts before clonking my way round the car park in a low gear.
