Default Worn Clutch?????

As above really, The bite point on the clutch seems to be very high lately but no slip. does this mean the clutch is on its way out?? The car is a 2006 STI with 37000 miles of average driving and minor mods.

do the test' handbrake on (with engine running)stick it in top gear then gently let the clutch out if it stalls then it's not slipping, if it does not stall then best get saving for a new clutch

At about 100 mph in top gear when the engine is at peak torque the revs rise, but the speed doesn't.

Not in the U.K. of course !

As it gets worse it will do it in the lower gears too !

I thought the test was from a standing start;
rev the car to 6k and let the clutch up sharply,
floor the accelerator and change at 6k up through the gears

If it slips then you will need a new clutch soon

normally when clutch is failing, u will pull of, accellerate and revs go up, but car doesnt increase speed, then u ease of power u may feel clutch bite bk in a bit. will drive ok 4 a bit, then same again when u accelerate

My clutch is on its way out and the easy way to tell was drive along dual carridge way, cruise @ 70mph in 5th then put your foot down! When the boost pics up if the revs fly up to 8grand but you dont go any quicker the clutch is knackered! Mine started to do it in 5th but now 5th, 4th & 3rd!!!
