no chance forget it, if you do get ready for heavy bill and days of endless sleep.

Best way use a rag clean bit one at a time.

I know somebody who did, he was getting problems with idling, hestiation on boost etc...

Should be OK to STEAM CLEAN as long as the engine is warm (NOT hot). I have done a few now with no side effects. When you have done it run the engine at idle for about 15mins then open the bonnet and let evaporation do the rest

I'd go with the careful cleaning, bit by bit. Sometimes oily patches are actually keeping the oil in.

I have steam cleaned my engine bay numerous times and have never had a problem. One problem I did get when going through a puddle was one of my coil packs on the front right cylinder was shorting.
