1992 wrx was driving along my local bypass tonight changed from 4th to 5th on boost next thing no gears .pulled to the side an could just get it in second gear no crunches or bangs clutch is fine so drove home at 25mph in second . got home but now the box is stuck in second gear and even with 2 hands i carnt pull it out of gear i take it the box has had it is this common on early wrx . any advice would be helpfull thanks

 

selector fork prob pal gears will be ok
just done one
stripped it replaced rod its fine now

ok iv got it back out of 2nd gear but only gear i can get car to move in is 2nd . will go in all other gears but whan i left clutch it tries to move car but like the gearbox is jammed or the handbrake is on .

 

might have done gears then if jammed .

thats what im thinking but it is not making any banging or clunking sounds gutted really as i wasnt even pressing it that much and was on low boost

 

drop sump plug see for fragment of gears will tell ya that way

had loads do same got several good gear sets her but would need fitting i can do them but ya live ages away
