Decat Up-Pipe

I have just been reading somewhere about a few people decatting the standard up-pipe.

Can anyone see any point in this for bhp gains.

The car is an 03 WRX.

A few extra ponies but difficult to fit, if you have a WRX check to see if you need to buy a decat uppipe with a screw in part for a sensor.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...

At high bhp levels a third cat is too restrictive, they CAN also start to break-up at high levels of boost, imho get rid.
