Since ive had my scooby ive allways had issues with her clutch,it seemed to have a mind of its own. If i parked up for 5 mins but left the engine running the clutch would be stiffer as i pulled off. If i broke hard the clutch would go baggy,if i put the clutch pedal down hard it would stick half way down then spring back up.
I changed the return spring,which did nothing,then changed the clutch slave cylinder which also done nothing. Put a new clutch in around 4 months ago and it seemed to have solved most of the probems.

A couple of days ago all of a sudden the clutch had around 5 cm of play in it,when i stopped i noticed a small circle white piece of plastic. This seemed to have broken off the top of the pedal,top of the pedal shaft as it goes into the mount. Its acts as a stopper,between 2 threaded rods. There was still a piece in there so i pulled that out I went to wilsons subarus and got the expensive part £1.12 Lol!. I pulled the pedal down a stuck the new piece in job done.
But now the pedals stiff as you like and the biting points at the very top.
And the cluch slipped last night,i hope this isnt a new cluch job as this is only 4 months old.
Could this be fluid? as ive been trying to find it but carnt

If any one can help me with this it will be much appreciated

Seems the only advice would be to take it to a decent specialist ( not Mr Clutch ) and get them to strip it down and investigate.

Must say sounds like there's some strange goings on there..

 

What with you saying the clutch seems affected by braking or sitting around, it's just possible the pedal box shaft (assuming the clutch and brake run on a common shaft) bearings are dry or damaged, or maybe the pedal box its self is damaged.

If you place a foot on the clutch and a foot on the brake and push either down, can you feel any degree of movement in the pedal you're not pushing if you keep slight pressure on it?

Yeah i do get a bit of movement from the clutch pedal when i apply the brake.

I have her booked in tommorow with xtreame scoobys,to have a look at the prob,my mechanic and xtreame scoobys think it maybe the clutch master cylinder.

Also we fitted gauges last week and everytime it boosts round to 15bar it holds back,mechanic says its the maf sensor which is next to the boost solenoid. Does anyone think it could be this?

 

I got to get a new clutch mater cylinder xtreame thinks its going to be around the £200 mark.

Does anyone know where i can get a new one at a better price?
