Hi,

I've bought a boost gauge in readiness for the Dawes arriving. The pipe to the manifold looks easy enough but I'm not sure of the best place to pick up a feed for the illumination. Does anyone have any advise ? Ideally I don't want to have to dismantle the dash - I just know if I do it will rattle afterwards !

I would take the feeds off the back of the stereo as there is permanent and switched live's there along with a line that goes live when the lights are on.....

You'll need a Voltmeter though as I don't know which ones they are.... (I also put inline fuses in all the power feeds I use just in case).

If your gauge is located on the A pillar, run the cable to the fog light switches which light up when the lights come on. Use a multimeter to find ground and 12v light source. You can feed the wire from the A pillar in the small gap between the A pillar, dash and windscreen. To get to the switches there are two screws, one by the center consol and the other by the door which is a Subaru screw clip. Loosen the plastic cover from its mount and the back of the switches can be accessed.

Hi Andy,

I fitted a gauge a couple of weeks ago and found the easiest thing to do was connect it to the light around the cig lighter. There's only two wires +ve and ground, can't really go wrong.
