BHP Gains with SS DP and HKS Hiper
I currently have a standard P1, but am adding a 3" scoobysport downpipe along with the HKS Hiper centre and backbox.
My insurance company charge extra for mods based on bands of increased power. The bands are 0-10%, 11-20% etc.
Please can anyone tell me what would be the "approximate" bhp increase with these mods as I don't really want to have to fork out for a rolling road test just to tell the insurance company how much more they can charge me!
Cheers in advance

You may not want to have it done
But get it RR at PowerStation - your power will fall about 30bhp with the exhaust - great for Insurance purposes
Should give about 20-25bhp maximum I would reckon
I have this on mine - but cant comment as the rest of the car aint std

I would say that you'll be in the 10% bracket. A P1 is quoted as 276bhp and 10% would be 27.6bhp increase which is probably about right for an exhaust swap. That would give you 303bhp which is probably if anything, slightly over what you'll have.

And you could always have a "poor" run, wherever you go for the graph to give to the insurancew company (not that I would ever endorse or do this myself you understand
)
Matt
P.S. It's up to you to think of very obvious ways of having a "poor" run....

Thanks Matt.
Only thing is that when I had the car Dynoed, it was giving 282bhp as standard, presumably if the exhaust gives another 25bhp on top I might end up being in the 10-20% bracket. This means paying almost double the extra premium!!!
