need some help
i have just imported a 1997 t/tb forester with auto gearbox it has 40,000 miles on the clock
i took the car for a mot test when i got the car back it has developed a problem with the rear diff i think, it drives ok at speed but we cornering at low speed it starts to knock on the rear i have tried moving the switch next to the handbrake and it stays the same and the hold light flashes on the display. it drove ok prior to the brake test on the rollers.
thanks in advance dave.

erm!i dint think they were ment to do brake test on rollers on 4wd!!!!!most definantly not ment to put just the rear wheels or just the front wheels on rollers, that can pull your diff to pieces, when i had mine mot'd in a local garage they had to do it with some machine whilst driving the car on the road, find out how the garage did the brake test!

Yep Garage has ****ed it if they did a Roler test,
The test results Legaly have to be recorded by them (i think), so ask to see the test results (as you are slightly worried about it pulling to one side) BEFORE asking them how they did it if there a 6 separate Readings (one for each wheel + hand break) they have done it on the rolers and shafted your car, so they need to pay for the repair
