A bit of a delayed response but I use Amsoil synthetic ATF in my 94 WRX Auto and it is still running fine over 5 years later...

Amsoil Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

I also have a Mocal transmission oil cooler fitted - car produces 280bhp approx.

Thanks

Gavin

thanks Gavin, does the transmission oil cooler fit onto the original gearbox cooler pipes whick go to the small cooler on the radiator? cooler sounds like a good idea cos when mine gets some hammer it doesnt feel as smooth through the transmission.

The transmission cooler is connected in series so the ATF goes through both the radiator circuit and the Mocal.

Thanks
