Iv'e bought a 2000 turbo and this problem was on the car then, but didn't think much of it because gear change is smooth. When the gear stick is in neutral it doesn't return to the centre . is this a clip or a spring missing? also is this a common problem. thanks for looking at the post chris

 

sounds like the spring is missing from under the car mate

 

had my garage to have a look today, spring is missing costing me £10, bargin. thanks adzer.
