Now I know what to do on my 30th birthday in July Most people go out with their mates, have a party and a few beers. Mr Burns wants to be a little different, so he picks a fight with a lorry...Have to say I think I prefer the beer option

SOSPEL, France, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Briton Richard Burns marked his 30th birthday by crashing head-on into a lorry during the recce for the Monte Carlo Rally on Wednesday.
Subaru driver Burns collided with the lorry between two stages of the recce in the French Alps but was unhurt as he prepared for the season-opening event.
A team spokesman said Burns was driving his Impreza recce car, a regular road version of the rally car with security specifications such as roll bars fitted, through Sospel in treacherous conditions.
"Richard was unhurt, so was (co-driver) Robert (Reid) and the person in the other vehicle," he said.
"He swapped into another car and continued the session."
