funny noise in gear

Default funny noise in gear

Ok hi every one ive not posted here much.I have bought a type r scooby 97 all is great 2.5 engine 400 bhp all singing and dancing.I had the diff done on rear as it was weaping from pinyon and drive shaft seals.Then the week after i notice some odd noise dont seem too bad till it warms up a bit 20 mins driving and 4th gear seems to make a funny noise 4k-3k like a whine rumble sorta thing, she has the type r short box with diff control any suggestions onto what might be the issue??? seems in 5th u can hear it a little bit too only certain revs. nothing going up the revs but on throttle its hard to hear myself think let alone hear a noise lol.Any ideas suggestions would be awsome cheers Nige

might be worth looking at the release bearing on the clutch, these make a funny whine/rumble, usually its there when you release the clutch and goes when you press it. Should be there all the time, including standstill if its that. Other than that, the only other thing i can think of is the bearings on the 4 and 5 shaft are starting to wear.
