the previous owner of my 1996 wrx replaced the engine with a version 3 redtop what will this be putting out powerwise,it has an HKS filter and a one piece 3" s/steel system,what should i do next for more power gains,the garage noticed it has a front entry turbo aswell,any ideas

Well standard an sti 3 engine will be 276bhp.

thats pretty good then,i take it this is a good strong engine to modify then

it will be putting out the same power as the original engine, that is unless the ecu has been changed

an afermarket ecu, bigger injecors and decat would be my starting place. For the ecu I would go with the sigma as it is a newish ecu and is can have loads of add ons etc and in my opinion offers more than the power fc
