Default pranged bumper

I reversed the car (MY2000) into a parking space which had one of those low barriers that you can't see through the rear mirror. I was only going very slowly but it was enough to push the bumper in, i.e. so it is closer to the body on the o/s. Hence it is not flush with the rear quarter. Is this a bodyshop job, or can it be rectified by adjusting the hangers that it is fastened by?

Thanks
Nick

You've probably just squashed the bumper beam carrier a little.
I'd remove the bumper leaving the beam carrier still on the car.
The side that was hit, straighten up the beam to make it look the same as the other side; shape and distance from the car body.

Worth a try over the weekend.

Cheers, I'll give it a go tomorrow.
