Default Apexi AVC-R and Super AFC

Hi guys, just bought my first Impreza WRX, and ive found both the Apexi AVC-R and Super AFC tucked away in behind the dash board.

Just wondering if someone could tell me what they are and what they do etc etc?

I havent had the car on the road yet.....my cousin has a few Imprezas, but none has this equipment on them.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

The AVCR controls turbo boost and the AFC control the air / fuel mixture, get them checked out by a reputable tuner / specialist, as if incorrectly setup can cause serious engine damage

Thanks for the replies.

So are these used instead of re-map, or in conjunction with or....?

Im new to turbocharged cars, let alone Subarus.
