Default GETTING INTO GEAR

when i first get into my car 51 reg wrx i struggle to get it into gears i say struggle i mean you try it goes in abit but not all the way but if you take it out put the clutch in and out it will then go into gear, cause some times it won't do that is it the cold making the oil really thick, when its warm(touchwood) its fine they engage nicely and everything is fine. Just wondering if anyone else has this thanks in advance

I have the same problem quite often. I've been recomended to change the gearbox oil which I think I'm going to do.

However, I've developed an even worse problem now, when the car/gear box warms up it doesn't want to go into 1st gear...I don't know whats wrong with it, so count your lucky stars at least yours is going in after pumping the clutch a few times!

seems to be quite a common prob when cold mine used to do that when i put redline oil in gearbox, changed it to castrol syntrax and gears are much smoother but it is still a bit stiff when cold
