Hi All,

I'm thinking about buying a dump valve and would quite like one that sounds like the impreza rally cars. You know one that goes "chirp! chirp!" anyways, you know what I mean.

I was just wondering if anyone knew what kind would make this noise?

Short answer is : the removed dumpvalve.

WRC cars don't use dumpvalves.

So there isn't any dump valves you can buy that sound anything like that?

 

Quite right, WRC cars don't run dump valves, the noise you can hear is the wastgate clattering, impossible to achieve on your car!!

I run a forge vent to atmosphere d/valve, it makes a wicked tsssh!! noise but not quite the same as a WRC car noise.

So far no fuel/running problems but, I'm sure others will give stories of horror on this subject and tell you to leave well alone.
