Has Anyone fitted a Prodrive Quickshift kit?

I am thinking of purchasing one for MY00 and have acess to a underfloor man pit which should be helpful when fitting.

Any advice/help would be appreciated

i am in the process of getting one fitted, but to pre-empt the "Ohhh i've got all these bits left over" syndrome, i'm giving it to the dealer to do it.....

I have fitting diagrams if they are of any use to you though.....but i'm told you do need to get under the car to fit it...

when sou say Prodrive Kit, it must be the complete set at more than £200, not the short lever (kartboy, ggr, bpm, etc...) at £80 ?

I didn't make it to the gathering on wednesday either, do I take it that this would be duncan's quickshift? I don't think it would be too difficult to fit, having had a good look under the car, I would have though that it must be fitted from inside as as far as I can see there is no way of getting to the linkage from below.
When you get around to adding up numbers for the karting include me for definate, I might be able to get a mate interested aswell.

Yes Mr Holmes it is Duncans quickshift.

I'm just concerned how easy it is to remove the gear stick boot and surround etc, can't be too hard.

I fitted the Graham Goode quickshift lever to my old MY00. It wasn't too difficult. In theory, if you are doing it the proper way then I believe you do need to get underneath the car to remove the circlip that holds the ball joint in the 'knuckle'. However it is possible to lever out the original gearstick, simply by using the gearshift surround as a fulcrum. It should just pop out. The new quickshift can be fitted by placing the shaft above the knucle joint and banging it home with a large (padded) hammer. A couple of good blows should be sufficient.

The Prodrive version is a bit different and requires more effort as this inlcudes part of the linkage too. I've had it fitted on my new MY01 and it took the garage a little while to do. Be warned that they did managed to sheer off one of the bolts of the exhaust (which has to be removed) and they had to drill this out!! So it is not as straight forward. If it is just the quickshift shaft then you're OK to do it yourself. If it is the Prodrive one, I would give it to your local garage.
