Default Barclays bank customers beware!!

Had an email from Barclays yesterday:

Dear Valued Customer,

To protect the confidence of your account access, employs some of the most advanced online bank security systems in the world and our anti fraud teams regularly screen the banking system.

In accordance with the Barclays Bank PLC users agreement, to ensure that your account hasn't been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your account access will remain limited until this problem has been resolved. We would like to remind you that on 31th December 2007, our anti fraud team identified some unusual activity in your bank account.

You are requested to please update your account info at the following link.

No bank will ever ask people to do this on the phone or via e-mail.

It should always be instigated by You.

And always make sure your antivirus is up to date. AVAST AVG is a good free one.

I get LOADS of 'em......

they go straight to my spam folder.......

the GIVEAWAY is the fact that they are addressed to the 'Valued Customer' rather that 'At YOU (Name)'

I've passed most of them on to the fraud side of the banks...... go to their websites and there will be email addresses you can forward them onto........

DEFO worth it... otherwise they won't be aware of the true picture
