Great, a film about the most annoying character in the terminator trilogy. She was wooden at best, couldn't be doing with the mean, moody, overacted stares into space. Lynne Perrie would have been a much better choice.

Sweet, I'll be watching that. Do we get it here the same time as the US?

Wasnt a bad pilot actually. Judt wondering how they will manage to make enough stories week in week out for a series.

I think theres only so much they can do

No Arnie, and as above, a series based on an annoying female character, not my thing at all. Burn the reels.

 

No doubt it will become dumbed down and released to a "wider" audience

cue the standard US 1 hour reel

hero-----girl in distress / guy in distress------- agree to help ------ meet the bad guys / gals-------get beaten up------ love interest-------find out shocker / (tear jerker section) about the bad guy -------beat the bad guy----- bad guy goes straight / repents------------------

and remember, it will always finish with a laugh or a joke



remember robocop-------------- they turned an 18 cert film into a kids saturday afternoon show

No interest in Sarah Connor Chronicles, sorry. Nothing can beat the first film

 

The second most annoying character must be the kid.

 

T1 was a stand alone for it's time, T2 had more to offer but more to compete with in terms of CGI, I read T2 before the film, but had 2 strawberries (LSD ) for the T2 film, so judgement was clouded. When T1 was out I was only 10, LSD wasn't in my social circle.

 

What is the point of this film. A different actor for John Connor, a different actress for Sarah Connor and no Arnie. A complete waste of time if you ask me. I'll not bother seeing it as it will annoy me too much seeing the same characters played by different people.

 

Is this a film or series?

Sorry had a beer last night and the brain is still at home in bed.

 

A series would be even more lame! It scares me to think there are enough brainless idiots in the world to watch this to lead the makers to believe it will be profitable.

It's like Dumber and Dumberer. I loved the original film and watched about 15 minutes of the second one before realizing I'd harm my opinion of the first film if I continued to watch it. I simply wasn't willing to subscribe to the characters when they were played by other guys.

 

Hey dont knock it until you've seen it, admittedley a series wont be as good as the films especially without Arnie (although a T101 might not be as intimidating with a Zimmer frame)

It might be ok - i dont think it will be anywhere near the films, but having said that neither was Star Trek!!!!

 

Star Trek series Voyager and Deep Space Nine (bald Sisco onwards) are very good, and IMHO better than the Generational films. What Star Trek have done is to broaden the genre and simply not rehashed and replaced original characters in what seems to be a fairly narrow plot based on an unliked character.

If you mention Quantum Leap Star Trek series my argument's bo11ocksed though What a steaming pile of crap this was, and I could never watch more than 10 mins of it in total.

 

Agree DS9, Voyager and the last 3 series of TNG were all amazing!! Each one expanded on Roddenberry's orginal story and theme in a way that (generally) would all fit together. I could understand if they did a Terminator series that didn't feature the Connors although I'd suggest that would be hard to do given how hemmed into that storyline they are after the 3 films.

That's right!!... there's only 1 Captain of the Enterprise, the rest are (at best) just pale immitations...

The NEW series of ST is rumoured to be rather good though, it's already cast the actor who plays Sylar from Heroes as a youthful Mr Spock
