I posted the prices I had been quoted for Subaru parts on the board yesterday .... the local (to you and me - Maidenhead) dealer says that they always fit a new flywheel to avoid judder ... from what I understand if you want to uprate the clutch then Helix or AP - talked with Scoobysport a while ago and they were very helpful, said Helix was good with a flywheel skim and sensible cost for fitting ... in the end my scooby is off the road for the winter so I am doing the job myself (good for a laugh) and am debating whether to uprate or just go for standard (the current one may have lasted 90k miles! definately no change since 45k and no bills prior to that so I guess the standard subaru part is ok.

Hope that helps

Yeh thanks,
I already had a quick look on the scoobysport site and it quoted £200 for fitting + skimming the flywheel which I thought was quite reasonable. They didn't have any prices on clutches though but Scoobymania quoted 400ish on an AP one.. I was just wondering if anyone here had +-'s for the aftermarket clutches...

p.s. mines only done 30K

I am just looking up details on a daiken clutch - they sem to be popular in the US (Exedy) .. their main European office is in Runcorn and they have motorsports clutches for the Impreza .. and a web site (if you look up on a search engine).. but never seen anything on the baord about them.

From memory the Helix (less release bearing) was about £390 +vat from Scoobysport

As soon as I find out something about Daiken I will post it.

AVO has a 5 button clutch that is well spoken of, but don't hear much about in the UK...

Just an option

That price includes the release bearing (normally about £70+vat)
