Default Exedy Twin Plate

Recently fitted a twin plate clutch to my car (FM022SD), following the instructions carefully. Also fit a new release bearing.

On pressing the clutch, stationary, there is a very audible rattle, i know these clutch's are seen to be noisier than standard but this seems too much.

The clutch feels nice and smooth, no vibration can be felt through the pedal.

Has anyone else any experience of these clutch's and what levels of noise have you come across?

Have the same clutch, sounds like a bag of spanners when the clutch is pressed

Second that, can hear the spanners between gear changes too, although if i keep the clutch pressed rather than change gear the noise is only brief asthough it steadies itself.

How long you had yours?

About two years, when stationary with the clutch pressed it always rattles and does not vary with time.

Have not noticed it during gear changes, it may well do, but I have not heard it.

Is it audible inside the car when stationary?

You should try a OS Giken, they make the Exedy seem quiet!
