It arrives in a couple of weeks. Now, I travel twice a day on the A666 between Bolton and the M60. In my Passat I cruise at not a mile over 60mph through 3 cameras. It is a 50MPH zone and I never get flashed. I appreciate that their is some tolerance in the cameras but also understand that, on avaerage, most cars have their speedo's operating at about 10% under.

Any throughts on what speed I will be able to travel along this road in the MY02 ?

The 01 speedo is pretty accurate so i would of thought the 02 is the same.

100 true = 104 on the speedo

Contact you local Highways Authority ask if there is a measured mile, and where, travel along it at a recorded 60 with an acurate stop watch see how long it takes. Or go to someone with a rolling road

I think most motorways have sticks (the ones with the red tops) stuck in every 100m, so 16 of'em is a mile. Ish. Find somewhere with 16 in a row (they sometimes are missing) & get someone to time you at a set speed.

The sticks certainly used to be there, but I haven't looked in a long while...

And VWs seem to add on quite a few % to the mph, so watch it!
