I've bought a guard from GGR, and it looks like it fits in the scoop itself , but how!?

Anyone done this yet? advice please...

Just to explain, this guard is way too big to attach to the intercooler itself, it looks like it would fit between the rubber bit (attached to the underside of the bonnet) and the scoop.. technical aren't i! (joke)...

Seriously though, anyone done it, I'll try and give GGR a call if not..

Its sounds like you are correct...I have one of these too. I didn't fit it though but it looked to be fairly straight forward, Roger Clark Motorsport sorted mine out. If it's any help at all (?) I can send you some close up photos of the finished installation

 

I'd be interested to know if it does fit where you say Alex, since I no longer have an i/c there I need to sort out some protection so inconsiderate *** flickers don't set fire to my engine!!

This sounds like the Scoobysport one I had fitted on Saturday. You will need to remove the tray on the underside of the bonnet to fit the protector.

Guys & Gals,

The GGR one does fit 'into' the scoop itself... It only took me a couple of mins to remove stuff on the underside of the bonnet and work out which way on it goes.. surprising thing was it needed a slight mod to fit as the holes for pertruding bits were in the wrong position.. anyhow went on with minimal fuss and looks quite cool too...

Now for a cocktail stick and an hour of my time in day light to 'straighten' out all the intercooler blades.. looks like a meteor storm hit it!
