If its a saloon WRX then its a TD05, wagon WRX pre 1996 and its a TD04.

with 440cc injectors, decat, FMIC and a remap with 1.2-1.4 bar of boost then 320-330bhp is easily achievable.

Max figure usually quoted is 350 bhp, with a good engine and all the right mods.

What year did they start fitting the TD05's then. I thought all imports pre 96 were TD04's. Also what performance gain would be achieved by fitting 440cc injectors and would they require an uprated fuel pump?

TD05 standard on early saloon imports.
440cc will require remap.
Uprated fuel pump is always a good idea on an early impreza

If you find an early classic WRX, saloon, with a TD04, then its got the wrong turbo fitted.

440's - Ideally fit an uprated pump as the factory fit one will probably be getting a bit tired anyway due to age on a pre 96.

Also, early classics are 380cc injectors and mine are at 100% IDC from just over 5k rpm

Beat me to it.

Forgot to mention, which you didn't, that an ECU upgrade will be required.
