Actually I think it looks worse!!

 

I gotta say that it looks more like the old scooby!

Mitusbishi must've loved it when the new scoob shape came out - gave 'em a chance to re-shape their old ugly beast like the scoob

The MY01 still looks pants. I can honestly say that over the last 6 months the tone of this BBs has gone from:

1) It's fuggin ugly, no-one will want want, the current model will be a classic and residuals will be rock solid.

2) the MY01 has a stiffer chassis! handles superb, but it's slower overall and more of a compromise to the mass market.

3) handles great, isn't much slower and looks alright after 8 pints.

4) looks acceptable, engine easier to drive.

5) new EVO VII looks duff maybe the scoob isn't that bad after all....

Have had a similar range of feelings myself in the past, usually before buying something that you are not 100% on. The fact of the matter is if the gut feeling aint right first off then you will always have a niggling feeling that maybe it wasn't the right thing to buy. (apart from the truly enthusiastic ppl who think that their new Squarial, Betamax, Sinclair C5 is the best thing since sliced bread)

 

Looks ok. Front end from a Vectra GSI. Back end can't tell. Side view ok. Looks aggressive wrather that the new Scoob - Who smacked me on the **** look.

Prefer the Evo VI. But if I was forced to choose between Evo VII and MY01 Scoob. Mitsi gets it.
