Default 03 STI CLICKING FRONT WHEEL

Hi all ive read a post or two about this problem but seems to be on older cars so i was just wondering if anyone has had this annoying clicking noise from a MY03. The N/S front wheel if you turn slightly right and free wheel forward it sounds like a Grifter with a lollystick stuck in the spokes. Ive got another driveshaft in the shed and wondered if this could be the cure ie C/V joint.
thx in advance for any thoughts
Andy

Hi my 03 STi clicked on one wheel then got progressively worse which eventually turned out to be the centre viscous diff. Get it checked ASAP. Mine ended up clicking everytime the wheel was turned.

I know this is a really old thread but, can anyone add to this.

Mine seems to do the same '01 WRX with 6speed.

replaced the front shafts thinking it was the CV joints, no change at all!

Your thoughts please.

Cheers for the reply Bud, I did wonder.

Still driving it and in discussion with the breaker that sold me the stuff - he's been most helpful so we shall see.

This may be really silly but I had an annoying clicking coming from the front drivers side...

It was Gravel wedged in the tread
