Default help needed gearbox change

hi all away to change the gearbox on my 95 turbo wagon but need to know if i need to take the catted down pipe off or if you can slip the gearbox past ?

but can it be done cause all the turbo heatsheilds are still on

it can be done with them in place but is a pita.............

And considering it takes about 30mins to take it off, you might aswell.
