Default oil pressure??

my oil pressure always reads 100psi when driving but today i put 5-40 oil in, instead the usual 10-40...anyone know if this is going to be a problem, and if i shoudl go back to 10-40

the idel pressure is still the same between 40 and 60 depending on the temp

Default 5 is the magic number

The first number is the "cold" rating, so will chug over easier in our arctic winter....

Thinner oil can escape small leaks more easily tho'

Many years ago I put Castrol RS in an old ( British) engine, it worked fine but leaked out of everywhere
