Default Cleaning the MAF should i be scared !!!

As above , I know that cleaning it is a short term fix , but atleast i would then know it was definitely it that was the problem . Am i likely to do further damage trying to clean it ???? I would hate to wreck a perfectly good sensor.

Just spray break and clutch cleaner on it, no biggy really, i tryed it, didnt work tho.

I've cleaned mine with electrical spray a few times, no probs here.
