hi,looking for a wiring diagram or some information on how to wire up a 300zx maf on to my impreza,my maf at the moment has 4 wires,
white
black with a red trace
black
red
anyone done this mod and can tell me how to wire it up,

cheers,also been offered a q45 yellow labal maf but these are a 3 wiring plug,which is the best one to go for and is the q45 maf a straight swop because i have been told that it is bigger in size,anyone fitted one?

300 ZX MAF connector has 6 pins A-F:
A - Not Used
B - MAF Output Signal
C - Gnd
D - Gnd
E - +12V
F - Not Used

Subaru 92-96 MAF Connector has 5 pins:
1 - +12V
2 - Gnd
3 - Sensor Gnd
4 - MAF Signal
5 - Not Used

Q45 is larger diameter but would work.. if you replaced samco's to fit it extra.. have wiring for that somewhere..

thanks simon,so it would wire up like this.
number 1 on the subaru connector would go to pin e
number 2 to c and d
number 4 to b.
which would you go for as i have been offered both,surpose the 300zx one is cheaper in the long run because i wont have to replace the pipework.

 

300zx is easier on your car, and also both Mafs max out at a similar level.. Q45 possibly slightly higher but well beyond your current engines potential
