Question TURBO TO IC 'Y' PIPE

I have been advised this is a worthwhile mod for my 02 wrx - quick few questions...

am i likely to see a quicker spool-up with this?

Would I need my car mapped after fitting?

Where's the best place to buy one?

Cheers

No - not on it's own. Fitting a smooth silicon pipe will allow undisrupted smooth flow of air from the turbo. This is good if you're increasing boost and going for more power. The OE pipe is a horrible plastic corrugated thing which hurts flow a little bit. Also, running more boost, it's safer to fit a silicon hose as it's stronger.
If your car runs standard power levels, not a lot to be gained by fitting one.

Would I need my car mapped after fitting?
No but the mod is worth doing if you're going to get a remap and increase boost & power levels - every little helps as they say

Can get one as part of a full Samco turbo hose kit (if you want nice blue bits in the engine bay or buy a 2nd hand Prodrive one - For Sale or ebay.

Cheers,

Stewart.
