Default Crankshaft sensor

I have an error code saying the crankshaft sensor is faulty but cannot get the sensor out.

I have disconnected it and undone the bolt and the sensor turns round but wont lift out.

Help

Andy.

If it turns it should lift. Have you moved the alternator out of the way to get easier access?

It is probably corroded in place - if its badly corroded in,you might have to remove the 3 outer timing covers ( left, right and center ) to gain access to the bottom of the sensor to knock it upwards out of the Oil pump.
When the covers are off,its easy to check that nothing has dropped into the timing belt from the old sensor.
