Ive got a ver4 sti with decat exhaust,induction kit,hks ssqv and i'm just wondering if i would need to fit an uprated fuel pump or maybe get it mapped to get the most out of the few mods that its got? It peaks at 1.3bar on full boost so also wondering if this will make it run rich/lean?

 

shouldnt be boosting to 1.3 bar unless its been chipped/remapped previously. An uprated fuel pump is a cheap worthwhile mod to do though

 

It varies between 1.1 and 1.3 on the gauge, because ive got the warning light set at 1.3 i often see it light up. I dont think its been chipped. I just assumed the boost went up when you de-cat with a bigger exhaust bore (but you know what they say about assumption being the mother of all f@?k ups)

 

I think standard boost on one of those is just under 1 bar so i would say you probably already have a chip fitted mine pulls 1.2 bar and its been chipped..

 

hmm i'l look into that then,i guess it could of been chipped before it was imported
