Default Turbo Tech Question re Recirc Valves.

Guys,

Bailey Motorsport does a recirc dump valve called the DV30, I spoke to them this morning and it seems the only reason it isn't stated as suitable for Classic Impreza fitment is because it's connectors are 25mm for VAG applications rather than 32mm that the recirc on an Impreza runs. I've been looking at the Forge Motorsport Recirc items and they don't look to be 32mm native size either.. Yet they state suitability for all turbo vehicles..

Can someone please confirm, that as I suspect, the DV30 is a perfectly adequate recirc replacement and that in real terms 32mm > 25mm with the gas flow we're talking about means very little.

Many thanks

Chris

To answer your question I've been running a forge recirc with a reducer down to 25mm with no issues. I'm running a FMIC so have more pressurised air to dump than OE as well.

Samco do the reducers, try Merlin motorsport

This is more for anyone who is looking for a recirculating dump valve :-

The Bailey DV30 does fit, it works absolutely perfectly, and is a cheaper alternative to the Forge Item. Unlike VTA Dump valves, this won't have negative effects on fuelling, and is merely a replacement for the OEM DV

As stated previously in this post, a reducer from 32-25mm is a good idea, although it is possible to over tighten the original hoses while you wait for the Samco reducers to turn up

Cheers

Chris
