Looking for recommendations for servicing in the Glasgow/Ayrshire area. Would prefer independant specialist instead of main dealer.

Also mention any to steer clear of.

 

S&S are good, as main dealers.

Greersport have many good comments, as independant specialist.

 

Thanks Gaz. Through my own personal experience, I wouldn't give S&S a penny after they made a mockery of my engine rebuild, and I use Greer's myself, but actually asking for a mate of mine who's due to buy an Impreza and doesn't want to use Greer's for reasons unknown!

I don't think they have a website.

They are based in North Ayrshire between Beith and Kilbirnie.

To get to them from Hamilton/Motherwell, head along M8 west till you get to Glasgow Airport then turn off onto A737, which heads towards Linwood, Bridge of Weir, etc. Follow A737 until you reach Beith, you will then get to a roundabout that shows Dalry, Irvine, Kilwinning as the first exit, which is slightly to the left, but you will take the second exit, almost as if straight through the roundabout, which shows Kilbirnie, carry on for about half a mile then turn right into Lochshore Industrial Estate. Drive along for what feels like ages, but is actually about 1 and a half miles, then you will see a sign for a listing of industrial units to your right, and immediately to your right will be Greers.

Either read that or type in KA14 3AZ into your SatNav!!!
