hello i have a z4 ecu with a zspeed chip which says 1.2 on it also the ecu has a wire coming out the side think for switching between 2 maps how much is this worth as ive got a apexi pfc on my car ?

 

That wire will be attached to the R1 resistor in the ecu. This is cut when the chip is installed and obviously bridging a switch accross it swaps back to the standard map of the ECU which i believe is 260ps anyway.

I remember a mate having a 'mines' chip in his import and the mapping was so aggressive he couldn't run it for fear of things going bang.

Generally the Z4 can be had for £100-120 without this extra chip.

Did you run your car with the chip 'activated' if you will?

im not sure were the wire connected to as it was disconnected when i took ecu out so im not sure if car was running fine or not to be honest but it was quick with the ecu in an the boost was turned down to 0.8 via a bleed valve
