Whats the best oil for a diff change on a My 97 uk impreza ??
and how much oil will i need.
any thing i should also be looking for when im doing this??

the rear diff takes just under a litre,popular choice for oil seems to be castrol syntrax
1 thing i will advise you to do is make sure you take the fill plug out before you drain it down.
the fill and drain plugs were fu@king tight on mine

Anyone know if and how you change the fuild in the Centre diff?
Apparently its a stand alone unit, model dependant of course...
Front and Rear were simple, so hoping the same is true here...

 

The centre diff does not have oil as such as it is factory filled with an amount of silicon grease.
