Default Knocking when driving slow Sti 05

Hi guys,I've just bought a 05 sti type uk and have a quick question when driving slow ie driving slowly in traffic or coming to a stop at a red traffic light i'm getting a knocking noise .After reading the manual it says it normal but thought i would ask on here just for piece of mind(i'm just a little worried)I've set the dccd on auto with the dial set at halfway.I'm thinking should i get it checked.

mine does this too. As far as I am aware, it is nothing to worry about. Mine appears to be coming from the rear diff. It only happens when i brake so presume drive shaft is taking up the slack in the diff as I brake.

the struts would be the first likely to give the noise as it happens at low speed and when stopping. sometimes you might get when you come to a stop the car a few seconds later seems to slump down at the back.

also sometimes the exhaust can be hiting the diff etc if its worked lose from hangers etc
