Default smoke from engine bay

noticed today that there was smoke coming from benith the turbo.. On closer inspection it looks like the o/s rocker cover is weeping and oil looks to be dripping on the exhaust.. Any advice, Is it a simple job to replace rocker gasket??

Hi Staffy,

Yes this is a common problem and is not a problem to fix.

Cheers Red.

yeah as you guessed rocker gasket on the turbo side has gone, as said common fault, they always go that side cos its nearest the turbo. somke is just the oil burning off as it hits the hot exhaust. nothingmajor, just make sure you keep the oil topped up and take it steady till you can get it fixed. although not a major issue best to get it sorted sooner rather than later
