Default Turbo Sqeak??

when my car is at normal running temp, i put my foot down and at around 4000 rpm it makes a high pitched sqeak noise? its not the turbo spooling up because i know that noise, and its only started doing it recently. Getting it checked out next week but wondered if anyone else has had anything similar to this??

Lol, I was about to say you're running a VF35, but if nothings been changed and it's only just started doing it then it could be boost leak.

Check that all the jube clips on turbo-intercooler hoses are tight and inspect hoses for any splits. There could also be the possibility of the IC having a split..!

What scoob do you have and is it std..?

Well you'll stop the squeak, but you won't stop the slipping!

Sounds like a boost leak to me!

Thanks guys,

Its a standard 2004 STI type Uk
I must admit it doesnt feel like it kicks as hard as it used too but it doesn't pop or bang when at full boost (my friend had a split boost hose and at full boost it hunted and popped and banged) so guessing its not that.

If any of you guys are going to the southend posers drive could i ask one of you to jump in with me and just come up the road and see what you think. Subaru cant look at it until next Thursday so i'm a bit worried.
Although i think my cat has a hole, could it be that???

Arrggghhhh its so annoying when noises appear
I'm constantly listening for it now.
