Hi there im new to this site and am looking to purchase an Impreza soon.

I have found one that i amy be viewing this weekend and having spoke to the owner he said the only thing that he is aware with regards to anything wrong is that sometimes when its cold and the car is first started up there is sometimes a bit of "clutch judder"

He says he took it back to scooby and according to him they said its nothing to worry about and said that its the nature of the car as its a high performance vehicle so told him not to worry.

He said after a couple of miles it goes and it only happens intermittently.

Has anyone else experienced this or knows what it could be?

and if it does need a new clutch how much is it likely to be to have it done?

its a 2000 on a V plate and its the 5 door version

Common with Classic Imprezas - I found it was generally on damp or very cold mornings and only when you first pull away -fine after minute or two.

Don't worry about the clutch unless it slips under load.
