Default AFTERBURNER

Hi all,im looking to start modding my standard wrx, im looking at the afterburner performance pack ,is it agood buy,will it give u a extra 20bhp?and what would it give u with a remap,and will it fit without any problems .cheers.

I presume you mean the Afterburner exhaust system ?

If so it is a good system imo. It fits ok, appears good quality and sounds nice.

As for the 20bhp, I doubt it without a remap. With a remap and other simple supporting mods (air filter, fuel pump, decats) up to 50 - 60 bhp.

I completely agree, I've fitted most of this system without a remap so far and struggle to notice any difference whatsoever apart from the spectacular noise! I'd consider the Ninja Sports Cat instead of decatting the downpipe if you don't want to be messing around come MOT time.

Need the remap to unleash those ponies......

Got a rear, centre and centre de-cat on MY07 WRX. Sound great. Looking at MOCOM Racing for the re-map which I am told should take this to ~290 BHP. MOCOM re-mapping at £450 all in !! Just a bit of a trek down there, but when you work out mileage vs cost against other mappers (inc. VAT) it turns out a good price.
