I've seen an EJ25 engine for sale and was wondering if it will drop straight into my '96 wrx ?
I've asked the guy what car it's from and he just said it has EJ25 stamped on it ?
Is it the same as an EJ257 ?

If its from a naturally aspirated Outback or something it'll last about an hour on a turbio car before a piston falls to bits.
Be careful.

PS all 2 litres are EJ20 even if they are 8 valve cooking cars and all 2.5's are EJ25. Until you take it to bits you cannot be certain what the engine is.
