could someone tell me all drivetrain / gearbox ratios on a STI Version 2?

what the max. possible topspeed with the original parts? ( i still have the 180 kph limiter, but i have ordered a delimiter)

is it possible to install a other gearbox or rear diff with a larger ratio for higher topsspeeds?

 

The standard ratios are
1st 3.454
2nd 2.062
3rd 1.448
4th 1.088
5th 0.825
with the final drive being 4.111.
Max speed in 5th @ 7000rpm will be 144mph (with std wheels).

Final drives in both the front and rear diffs can be changed to increase the possible top speed, but do you have the power?

 

230 kph isnt any problem on that car to drive when its stock (if 180kph limiter is gone) ... but it isnt good to drive longer time with 7000 rpm on a german autobahn...

so its better change it to a larger ratio.

do you have any examples what i can install to the front or back to get a larger end ratio?

nice could be 7000 rpm and 260-300 kph

 

I never thought of it at the time, but you could also change the 5th gear ratio.
Standard gearing gives 20.8 Mph/1000rpm.
Changing to 3.9 final drives gives 22 Mph/1000rpm.
Swapping only 5th (to a 0.738) gives 23.4 Mph/1000rpm.
And doing both (3.9 & 0.738) gives 24.6 Mph/1000rpm.

 

from what version i get take the 3.9 final drive ... and from what the 0,738 gearbox ?


have somebody something for sell? or know where i can get these what fits my car?
